Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

We share the concerns individuals have about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The health and safety of owners, residents, staff and contractors are of paramount importance.

In order to keep the day to day management of your Owners Corporation and property going, our staff are now working remotely from home. Additional measures we have implemented are restricting annual general meetings and all other face to face meetings. We will use alternate means such as teleconferencing where possible. Non-essential site visits will be postponed.

Mia Property Manager continues to follow the advice provided by relevant authorities to help limit the potential for transmission of COVID-19.

We strongly encourage owners and residents to take individual responsibility and follow the Government's health advice and restrictions.

Caretakers will continue to attend to cleaning of buildings. In regard to the need for additional cleaning or other hygiene measures, your caretakers are paying particular attention to ‘touch points’ within your building while cleaning. Where appropriate we have arranged installation of hand sanitiser units in the common area of buildings and the installation of health posters.

We ask that all residents continue to be supportive of cleaners, caretakers and contractors at this time. They continue to carry out essential and important work to keep your property clean and maintained under difficult circumstances.

Support for Individuals

Advice on who should quarantine and who should isolate, how to prepare and how to support someone who is sick during a quarantine period can be found at dhhs.vic.gov.au/self-quarantine-coronavirus-covid-19 or by calling the COVID-19 Hotline 1800 675 398.

Some communities within buildings have established communication forums and advice amongst occupants as a means of supporting and assisting individuals in need and also communicating information on COVID-19. Your local Council is also a great support network. Contact us if you or someone you know requires more information.

Mia Property will continue to work with owners, residents and your Committee, to help keep everyone safe and well in these challenging times.
